Ingredients
- 12 oz bowtie pasta farfalle
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then cook until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Simmer until slightly thickened.
- Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan until melted and smooth.
- Add Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes, if using.
- Return chicken and pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat everything in the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Add sautéed spinach, mushrooms, or sun-dried tomatoes for variation.
- Substitute mozzarella with provolone, gouda, or a cheese blend for a different flavor.
- For a lighter version, use half cream and half milk.
- Whole wheat or gluten-free pasta works well too.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days and reheat with a splash of milk or cream to loosen the sauce.
