These Banana Oatmeal Bars are a healthy, 5-ingredient recipe that’s perfect for breakfast, snacks, or post-workout fuel. Made with ripe bananas, oats, and nut butter, these bars are naturally sweetened, kid-friendly, and super easy to make. A perfect way to use up those overripe bananas!

- 2–3 ripe bananas the riper, the better
- 2 cups rolled oats old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup nut butter peanut butter or almond butter
- 2–3 tbsp honey or maple syrup optional, to taste
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Optional Add-ins:
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon or vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup dried fruit cranberries, raisins, etc.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Mash bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
Mix in oats, nut butter, honey/maple syrup, and baking powder. Stir until fully combined.
Spread mixture evenly into the prepared pan using a spoon or spatula.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the top is set and lightly golden.
Cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars.
