- 4 cups chicken broth low-sodium preferred
- 1 cup diced carrots
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2–3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs oregano, basil, thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional Additions:
- Baby spinach or kale
- Heavy cream for a creamy version
