Ingredients

  • For the Fruit Salad:
  • 2 apples or pears chopped
  • 2 oranges or clementines peeled and segmented
  • 1 cup grapes red or green
  • 1 cup strawberries or raspberries
  • 2 kiwis peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup pineapple or mango chunks
  • ½ cup pomegranate arils
  • Choose ripe, firm, and colorful fruits for the best texture and presentation.
  • For the Dressing:
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup for vegan option
  • Juice of 1 lime about 2 tbsp
  • ½ tsp lime zest
  • Optional: ¼ tsp vanilla extract for a touch of sweetness
  • Optional Add-Ins:
  • Fresh mint leaves chopped
  • Shredded coconut
  • Crushed pecans or walnuts

Instructions

  • Step 1 — Prepare the Fruit
  • Wash, peel, and chop all fruits into bite-sized pieces.
  • To prevent browning, toss apples and pears in a little lemon or orange juice.
  • Step 2 — Mix the Dressing
  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, lime juice, and lime zest.
  • Taste and adjust — add more honey for sweetness or lime for brightness.
  • Step 3 — Combine & Toss
  • In a large bowl, gently mix all the chopped fruits.
  • Pour the dressing over the fruit and toss carefully to coat evenly.
  • Be gentle to avoid crushing softer fruits like berries or kiwi.
  • Step 4 — Chill & Serve
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh mint, coconut, or extra pomegranate for a festive touch.

Notes

Use fresh, firm fruits — overripe fruit makes the salad mushy.
Avoid watery fruits like watermelon (it dilutes the dressing).
Add bananas last — they brown quickly.
Chill before serving — enhances flavor and texture.
Serve cold for the most refreshing taste.
