- 16 –20 fresh mozzarella balls bocconcini or ciliegine, drained and patted dry
- 2 cups cherry or grape tomatoes rinsed and dried
- Fresh basil leaves
- Flavor Base & Finish
- Extra virgin olive oil for drizzling
- Balsamic glaze for finishing
- Pantry Staples
- Flaky sea salt or kosher salt to taste
- Freshly cracked black pepper to taste
Prep the Ingredients
Drain mozzarella thoroughly and pat dry with paper towels.
Wash and dry tomatoes and basil leaves completely.
Select a large round platter or serving board.
Assemble the Wreath
Arrange mozzarella balls in a large circle to form the base of the wreath.
Tuck tomatoes evenly between the mozzarella.
Slide basil leaves in between to create a full, wreath-like look.
Season & Finish
Drizzle lightly with olive oil.
Add a thin drizzle of balsamic glaze.
Sprinkle with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
Serve
