Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 for best flavor
  • 8 oz pasta elbow macaroni or rotini
  • 2 cups shredded cheese cheddar, mozzarella, or mixed
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup or tomato sauce for variation
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt pepper, and Italian seasoning, to taste
  • Optional Add-ins:
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Green bell peppers
  • Chili flakes for heat

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Cook pasta until just al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, brown the ground beef with onion and garlic. Drain excess grease.
  • Stir in cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and seasonings. Simmer for a few minutes.
  • Layer half the pasta, half the beef mixture, and cheese in the baking dish. Repeat layers.
  • Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.
