  • 1-2 pieces bell peppers, sliced (any color) Use a variety of colors for visual appeal.
  • 1 pieces onion, sliced

Sauce & Seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch Helps thicken the sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil For stir-frying.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Serving

  • 4 servings cooked rice For serving with the dish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by slicing your beef sirloin and vegetables. Aim for even sizes to ensure they cook uniformly.
  • In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for about 15-30 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer and sear for about 2-3 minutes, or until browned.
  • Toss in the sliced onions and bell peppers. Stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until they are tender yet still crisp.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for another minute until fragrant. Season with salt, pepper, or extra soy sauce if desired.
  • Plate your pepper steak over a bed of fluffy cooked rice and serve hot.

Notes

For variations, consider substituting different proteins or adding more vegetables. Avoid overcrowding the pan while cooking to achieve the best stir-fry results.
