- Wet Ingredients:
- 3 ripe bananas mashed
- ½ cup unsalted butter melted (or coconut oil)
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Dry Ingredients:
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- Add-ins:
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips plus extra for topping
- Optional Variations:
- ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- ¼ cup cocoa powder for double chocolate
- ¼ cup Greek yogurt or applesauce for a lighter version
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
Mash bananas in a large bowl until mostly smooth.
Mix wet ingredients: Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Stir until combined.
Combine dry ingredients: In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
Mix everything together: Gently fold dry mixture into wet until just combined.
Add chocolate chips: Fold in ¾ of the chips, reserving some for the top.
Pour and bake: Spread batter evenly in the pan. Top with remaining chips.
Bake for 55–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool & serve: Let it rest 10 minutes in the pan, then cool on a wire rack. Slice & enjoy warm!
