- Main Ingredients:
- 1 can crescent roll dough store-bought or homemade
- 4 oz cream cheese softened
- ½ cup fresh cranberries or cranberry sauce
- 2 tbsp sugar or brown sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract optional
- Optional Toppings:
- Powdered sugar glaze
- Chopped pecans or walnuts
- Orange zest
- Mini chocolate chips
Step 1 – Prepare the Dough:
Unroll crescent dough on a lightly floured surface. Separate into individual triangles. Room-temperature dough rolls more easily and resists tearing.
Step 2 – Make the Filling:
In a small bowl, beat cream cheese with sugar until smooth and creamy. Add vanilla extract if desired. Fold in cranberries or cranberry sauce.
Step 3 – Assemble the Bites:
Spread a small spoonful of filling along the wide end of each triangle. Roll from wide end to tip to form crescent shapes. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet with space between bites.
Step 4 – Bake:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) or according to dough package instructions. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
Step 5 – Finishing Touches:
Cool slightly, then drizzle with glaze or dust with powdered sugar. Optionally, sprinkle with nuts, orange zest, or mini chocolate chips. Serve warm or at room temperature.
