Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 6 pieces Fresh Kiwis Choose ripe, firm kiwis

Optional Pre-treatment

  • 1 cup Water For soaking kiwi slices
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice To help maintain vibrant color

Instructions

Preparation

  • Select ripe firm kiwis for the best flavor.
  • Wash the kiwis under running water and peel with a knife or vegetable peeler.
  • Slice the kiwis into thin slices, about 1/4 inch thick.
  • If desired, soak the slices in a mixture of water and lemon juice for about 10 minutes.

Drying

  • Using a dehydrator, place the slices on trays without overlapping. Set the temperature to 135°F and dry for 6-8 hours.
  • Alternatively, preheat your oven to the lowest setting (around 150°F). Arrange the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 6-8 hours, flipping halfway through.

Storage

  • Once dried, allow the slices to cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.

Notes

For best quality, store in glass jars or vacuum-sealed bags in a cool, dark place. Dried kiwi slices can last up to a year when stored properly.
