Ingredients

  • Mini pretzels
  • Soft caramel candies
  • Sweetened condensed milk
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Butter

Instructions

  • Line an 8x8 inch pan with parchment paper and spread a layer of mini pretzels evenly across the bottom.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt caramel candies with butter and sweetened condensed milk, stirring until smooth and combined.
  • Pour the caramel mixture over the pretzels, spreading it evenly.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler until smooth.
  • Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel layer and smooth it out with a spatula.
  • Refrigerate for 1–2 hours until set.
  • Once firm, lift the bars out using the parchment paper and slice into squares.

Notes

  • Use thick, high-quality caramel sauce if substituting for melted candies.
  • Let bars sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before slicing to prevent the chocolate from cracking.
  • For extra crunch or flair, add chopped nuts, toffee bits, or holiday sprinkles on top before the chocolate sets.
  • Bars can be frozen for up to 1 month.
  • No need to reheat just let sit at room temp briefly before serving.
