Ingredients
  

  • For the Chicken
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix or 3 tablespoons homemade blend
  • 1 cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional Add-Ins
  • Crushed crackers or breadcrumbs for topping
  • Fresh parsley or chives for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat and Prepare:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a baking dish with non-stick spray or a drizzle of oil. Pat chicken dry with paper towels.
  • Season the Chicken:
  • Combine ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub evenly over both sides of each chicken piece.
  • Add the Creamy Ranch Topping:
  • In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt) with a tablespoon of ranch mix. Spread over chicken, then top with shredded cheese.
  • Bake:
  • Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). For a golden top, broil for the last 2 minutes.
  • Rest and Serve:
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving to lock in moisture. Garnish with herbs, if desired.

Notes

  • Don’t overbake — check doneness with an instant-read thermometer.
  • Let chicken rest after baking for extra juiciness.
  • Add grated Parmesan to the topping for more flavor.
  • Prepare the dish ahead and refrigerate before baking.
