This easy crispy chilli beef recipe is a 30-minute flavor explosion — perfectly crunchy beef tossed in a sticky, spicy-sweet sauce that rivals your favorite takeout. Ingredients
  

  • For the Beef:
  • 500 g lean beef sirloin or flank steak
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • For the Sauce:
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1- inch ginger minced
  • 1–2 red chillies finely chopped
  • 1 tsp honey or brown sugar optional
  • For Cooking & Garnish:
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil for frying
  • Spring onions sliced
  • Sesame seeds
  • Fresh coriander optional

Instructions
 

  • Slice beef thinly against the grain. Toss with cornstarch, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  • Heat oil in a wok or pan over high heat until hot.
  • Fry beef in small batches until golden and crispy. Transfer to paper towels to drain.
  • In a separate pan, sauté garlic, ginger, and chillies for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and honey. Simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Toss the crispy beef in the sauce until coated.
  • Garnish with spring onions, sesame seeds, and coriander. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Fry in small batches for maximum crispiness.
  • Use tamari for a gluten-free version.
  • Adjust the spice level by reducing or increasing chillies.
  • Reheat leftovers in a hot pan to restore crunch.
  • Serve with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
