  • Red pepper flakes for extra heat
  • Bell peppers or spinach for color and nutrients
  • A squeeze of lemon juice to brighten the flavor

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta
  • Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  • Sear the Chicken
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium-high heat.
  • Add chicken, season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of garlic powder.
  • Cook until golden and tender, then remove from the pan.
  • Make the Honey Pepper Sauce
  • In the same skillet, add a touch of butter if needed.
  • Sauté onion until translucent, then add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  • Drizzle in honey and stir until it bubbles slightly.
  • Pour in heavy cream and stir until smooth and glossy.
  • Add freshly cracked pepper and let simmer 2–3 minutes.
  • Combine Everything
  • Return chicken to the pan and toss to coat in sauce.
  • Add pasta and mix gently until evenly covered.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water.
  • Stir in Parmesan and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or honey to taste.
  • Serve & Garnish
  • Serve immediately, topped with chopped parsley and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

  • Freshly crack the pepper: it adds bold aroma and heat.
  • Simmer gently: avoid high heat to keep the sauce silky.
  • Balance the flavor: start with less honey and add more if you like it sweeter.
  • Creamier twist: add 2 tbsp cream cheese or mascarpone at the end.
