- 4 medium apples Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Granny Smith
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 tbsp butter softened
- Optional: ¼ cup chopped nuts or raisins
- Optional: honey or maple syrup for drizzling
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Wash and core apples, leaving the bottoms intact to form a hollow center.
In a bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stir in nuts or raisins if using.
Mash in softened butter with a fork until the mixture becomes crumbly.
Stuff each apple with the oat mixture, pressing down to fill.
Place apples in a baking dish and pour a little water (about ¼ cup) into the dish.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, until apples are tender and topping is golden.
Let cool slightly before serving. Optional: top with ice cream, whipped cream, or caramel sauce.
