- Meatballs homemade, frozen, or pre-cooked
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 4 sub rolls or hoagie buns
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese or provolone
- 2 tbsp butter optional, for toasting rolls
- 1 tsp garlic powder optional, for added flavor
In a saucepan over medium heat, warm marinara sauce and add meatballs. Simmer 10–15 minutes until meatballs are heated through and coated in sauce.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Slice sub rolls lengthwise without cutting all the way through. Optional: brush inside with butter and sprinkle with garlic powder.
Place rolls on a baking sheet and toast for 3–5 minutes until slightly crispy.
Fill each roll with meatballs and sauce, then top with shredded mozzarella.
Return to oven for 3–5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
