  • 2 pieces chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, minced Fresh garlic preferred for better flavor.
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (like mozzarella or cheddar) Feel free to mix different cheeses for added flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste salt and pepper

Preparation

  • Start by ensuring all your ingredients are prepped. If you haven’t shredded your chicken yet, do so now. Mince the garlic and set everything aside.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the minced garlic. Sauté it for about 1 minute until it’s aromatic.
  • Add your shredded chicken to the skillet. Season it with salt and pepper to taste. Stir everything together, allowing the flavors to meld for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Lay a tortilla flat, scoop a generous portion of the chicken mixture onto the center, and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  • Fold the tortilla over the filling, creating a pocket. Carefully place the wrap in the skillet seam-side down. Cook on each side for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Once cooked, remove the wraps from the skillet and top with your favorite condiments like sour cream, salsa, or slices of avocado.

Notes

Don’t rush the garlic; burnt garlic can lead to a bitter taste. Experiment with cheeses, and ensure tortillas are slightly warmed to avoid cracking.
