Ingredients
  

  • 4 oz 115 g cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup 115 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup powdered sugar for rolling
  • Optional: lemon zest peppermint extract, or white chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Cream the butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy.
  • Add sugar and eggs, mixing well, then stir in vanilla.
  • Whisk flour and baking powder in a separate bowl, then combine with wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
  • Chill dough for 30 minutes.
  • Roll into balls and coat generously with powdered sugar.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes, until edges set but centers remain soft.
  • Cool and dust with extra powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • Use room-temperature butter and cream cheese for the best texture.
  • Don’t overbake the cookies should look slightly underdone in the center.
  • Re-roll in powdered sugar after baking for that perfect snowy look
