In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.

Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract until smooth.

Alternate adding the dry mixture and buttermilk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined — don’t overmix.
Step 6: Fold in Sprinkles
Gently fold in sprinkles. Avoid over-stirring to keep the colors vibrant.
Step 7: Bake
Pour batter into prepared pan and top with extra sprinkles.
Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Step 8: Cool and Serve
Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice once completely cooled.
