Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets fresh or thawed, skin-on recommended
  • cup honey
  • 3–4 garlic cloves minced
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Optional: 1 tsp grated ginger 1 tsp sesame oil, red pepper flakes, chopped parsley, sesame seeds

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, garlic, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Add optional ginger or sesame oil if desired.
  • Spray the slow cooker with cooking spray or line with foil. Place salmon fillets in a single layer.
  • Pour the glaze over the salmon, coating each piece.
  • Cover and cook on low for 1.5–2.5 hours, until salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  • Spoon extra glaze over fillets before serving. Garnish with parsley, sesame seeds, or green onions if desired.

Notes

  • Avoid overcooking the salmon should be tender and flaky, not dry.
  • For a caramelized finish, transfer salmon to a baking sheet and broil for 2–3 minutes.
  • Use skin-on fillets for best texture.
  • The honey garlic glaze also works well with chicken, shrimp, or tofu.
