Instructions

  • Step 1 — Prepare the Chicken
  • Cut chicken into uniform bite-sized pieces.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Lightly coat each piece with cornstarch, then dip in beaten egg for a thin, crispy layer.
  • Step 2 — Make the Sauce
  • In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger.
  • Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened but still pourable.
  • Add sesame oil at the end to preserve its aroma.
  • Step 3 — Cook the Chicken
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Fry chicken in small batches until golden and cooked through.
  • Optional: double-fry for extra crispiness.
  • Step 4 — Combine Chicken and Sauce

  • Finish with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions if desired.
  • Step 5 — Serve
  • Serve hot over steamed rice, fried rice, or alongside stir-fried vegetables.

Notes

  • Keep the pan at medium heat to avoid burning the honey.
  • Stir sauce constantly for even coating.
  • Add vegetables at the end for color and nutrition.
