Baked Broccoli Cheese Balls are a crispy, cheesy, and healthier snack or appetizer, baked to golden perfection. Loaded with broccoli, three cheeses, and savory spices, these irresistible bites are perfect for parties, meal prep, or a cozy night in.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups broccoli florets steamed and finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¾ cup breadcrumbs panko preferred
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or oregano
  • Cooking spray for baking

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray with cooking oil.
  • Steam broccoli until tender, then drain thoroughly and chop finely.
  • In a large bowl, mix chopped broccoli, cheeses, breadcrumbs, eggs, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, herbs (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined.
  • Chill mixture for 10–15 minutes for easier shaping.
  • Using a tablespoon or small scoop, form the mixture into balls. Wet your hands slightly to prevent sticking.
  • Arrange on the baking sheet and lightly spray with oil.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • To freeze: Shape balls and freeze on a tray before transferring to a container. Bake directly from frozen, adding 5 extra minutes.
  • Use almond flour for a gluten-free version.
  • Air fryer method: Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes.
  • Try swapping broccoli for cauliflower.
  • Chill the mixture before shaping to improve structure.
