Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • For the Lemon Glaze:
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ tablespoon lemon zest
  • Tips:

Instructions
 

  • Prep Pan and Oven:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper or lightly grease.
  • Make the Batter:
  • Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well. Mix in lemon juice and zest. Gently fold in flour and salt until just combined.
  • Bake:
  • Pour batter into prepared pan, smooth the top, and bake 20–25 minutes until edges turn golden and a toothpick comes out mostly clean. Cool completely.
  • Make Lemon Glaze:
  • Whisk together powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Pour over cooled brownies and spread evenly. Let set for 10–15 minutes.
