Ingredients
  

  • Main Ingredients:
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 small head cabbage chopped
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 can 14 oz crushed tomatoes (sugar-free)
  • 4 cups beef broth low-sodium
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Optional Add-Ins:
  • 1 cup cauliflower rice adds thickness
  • Red pepper flakes for spice
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Splash of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Brown the Meat: Heat olive oil in a large pot, add ground beef, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if desired.
  • Sauté Aromatics: Add diced onion and garlic. Cook until soft and fragrant.
  • Add Cabbage & Spices: Stir in chopped cabbage, paprika, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • Add Tomatoes & Broth: Pour in crushed tomatoes and broth. Stir well.
  • Simmer: Lower the heat and let simmer 25–30 minutes until cabbage is tender and flavors meld together.
  • Serve: Taste, adjust seasonings, and garnish with parsley before serving.

  • Use fresh cabbage for best texture.
  • Simmer longer for a deeper, richer flavor.
  • Stir in butter or cream for a velvety finish.
  • Add cauliflower rice in the last 10 minutes for extra heartiness.
