For the Slushie

  • 2 cups crushed ice
  • 1 cup watermelon, cubed
  • ½ cup kiwi, peeled and chopped
  • 4 tablespoons sugar (or to taste)
  • to taste fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish) Use for garnish if desired.

Preparation

  • Start by cubing your fresh watermelon and chopping your kiwi into smaller pieces.

Blending

  • In a blender, combine the watermelon cubes, chopped kiwi, sugar, and crushed ice. Blend until smooth.

Taste Testing

  • Grab a spoon and do a quick taste test. Adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if needed.

Serving

  • Pour the slushie mixture into chilled glasses and garnish with mint leaves or a slice of kiwi on the rim if desired.

Notes

Freeze fruits ahead of time for an extra frosty slushie. You can also experiment with other fruits for variations.
