Ingredients
  

  • Salad
  • 4 –5 cups leafy greens romaine, arugula, or mixed greens
  • ½ cup shaved or freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds toasted
  • Lemon Sesame Dressing
  • 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest optional
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp honey
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ½ tsp sesame oil a few drops
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Prep
  • Wash and dry greens thoroughly.
  • Toast sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat until fragrant; set aside.
  • Shave or grate parmesan cheese.
  • Zest and juice the lemon.
  • Make the Dressing
  • In a small bowl or jar, whisk lemon juice, lemon zest, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and pepper.
  • Slowly whisk in olive oil until emulsified.
  • Whisk in sesame oil, using just a small amount.
  • Assemble
  • Place greens in a large bowl.
  • Add toasted sesame seeds and parmesan cheese.
  • Drizzle dressing lightly over the salad.
  • Toss gently to coat.
  • Finish with extra parmesan and cracked black pepper if desired.
  • Serve immediately.
