- Salad
- 4 –5 cups leafy greens romaine, arugula, or mixed greens
- ½ cup shaved or freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds toasted
- Lemon Sesame Dressing
- 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest optional
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp honey
- ¼ cup olive oil
- ½ tsp sesame oil a few drops
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Prep
Wash and dry greens thoroughly.
Toast sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat until fragrant; set aside.
Shave or grate parmesan cheese.
Zest and juice the lemon.
Make the Dressing
In a small bowl or jar, whisk lemon juice, lemon zest, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and pepper.
Slowly whisk in olive oil until emulsified.
Whisk in sesame oil, using just a small amount.
Assemble
