Preparation

  • Wash the cherry tomatoes thoroughly. Cut them in half and place them in a mixing bowl.
  • Using a sharp knife, thinly slice the red onion and add it to the bowl with the tomatoes.
  • Wash and chop the fresh basil leaves, and add them to the mix.

Make the Dressing

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.

Combine and Marinate

  • Pour the dressing over the tomato mixture. Gently toss the salad to combine all ingredients.
  • Let the salad sit for about 15-30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
