Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning or homemade blend
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican blend
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • Sliced jalapeños optional
  • Chopped cilantro optional
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a muffin tin with cooking spray.
  • In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess grease.
  • Stir in taco seasoning and a splash of water. Simmer until beef is well coated.
  • Place two wonton wrappers in each muffin cup, slightly overlapping to form a base.
  • Add a spoonful of beef mixture, sprinkle with cheese, then repeat with another layer of beef and cheese.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, until wrappers are golden brown and crispy.
  • Let cool slightly before topping with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and optional garnishes.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Substitute ground chicken or turkey for a lighter option.
  • Add black beans, corn, or jalapeños for extra flavor.
  • For a vegetarian version, use seasoned beans and veggies instead of meat.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge up to 3 days; reheat in oven at 350°F to keep crispy.
  • Avoid microwaving, as wrappers lose their crunch.
