Cuisine Mexican
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning or homemade blend
- 24 wonton wrappers
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican blend
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- ½ cup sour cream
- Sliced jalapeños optional
- Chopped cilantro optional
- Cooking spray
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a muffin tin with cooking spray.
In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess grease.
Stir in taco seasoning and a splash of water. Simmer until beef is well coated.
Place two wonton wrappers in each muffin cup, slightly overlapping to form a base.
Add a spoonful of beef mixture, sprinkle with cheese, then repeat with another layer of beef and cheese.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, until wrappers are golden brown and crispy.
Let cool slightly before topping with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and optional garnishes.
Serve warm and enjoy!
-
Substitute ground chicken or turkey for a lighter option.
-
Add black beans, corn, or jalapeños for extra flavor.
-
For a vegetarian version, use seasoned beans and veggies instead of meat.
-
Store leftovers in the fridge up to 3 days; reheat in oven at 350°F to keep crispy.
-
Avoid microwaving, as wrappers lose their crunch.
