Mississippi Mud Pie

Rich, fudgy, and irresistibly creamy this Mississippi Mud Pie is a true taste of Southern comfort. With a crunchy chocolate crust, a silky chocolate filling, and a cloud of whipped cream on top, every bite feels like a warm hug from home.
- For the Crust:
- 2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs Oreos or graham crackers
- 6 tbsp melted butter
- 2 tbsp sugar optional
- For the Filling:
- ½ cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- ½ cup melted chocolate
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp brewed coffee optional but adds depth
- For the Topping:
- 1 cup heavy cream whipped until soft peaks form
- Chocolate curls cocoa powder, or nuts for garnish
Prepare the crust:
Mix cookie crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press into a pie dish.
Bake for 8–10 minutes at 350°F (175°C). Cool completely.
Make the filling:
Whisk melted butter, sugar, eggs, cocoa, and chocolate until smooth.
Add vanilla, salt, and coffee. Pour over the crust.
Bake:
Bake for 25 minutes or until the center slightly jiggles.
Cool completely to set.
Add topping:
Spread whipped cream on top. Garnish with chocolate shavings or cocoa.
Chill & serve:
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing.
