These M&M’s Brownies are rich, fudgy, and topped with colorful candy that makes them perfect for parties, bake sales, and kid-friendly desserts. Made with simple ingredients and loaded with chocolate flavor, this easy brownie recipe delivers chewy edges, soft centers, and a fun twist on a classic favorite.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted and slightly cooled
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ –1 cup M&M’s regular or mini

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth and glossy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • Gently fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients just until combined. Do not overmix.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle M&M’s evenly over the top, gently pressing them into the batter.
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes, until edges are set and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  • Cool completely in the pan before lifting out and slicing.

Notes

  • For fudgier brownies, err on the shorter baking time.
  • Press M&M’s on top rather than mixing them in to prevent color bleeding.
  • Let brownies cool fully for clean slices.
