- ½ cup unsalted butter melted and slightly cooled
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¾ –1 cup M&M’s regular or mini
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth and glossy.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
Gently fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients just until combined. Do not overmix.
Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
Sprinkle M&M’s evenly over the top, gently pressing them into the batter.
Bake for 30–35 minutes, until edges are set and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs.
Cool completely in the pan before lifting out and slicing.
