Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 12 ounces your favorite pasta (fettuccine, penne, or even spaghetti)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cooking Instructions

  • In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant—about 1 minute.
  • Pour in the broth and bring it to a simmer. Add the pasta and a pinch of salt. Stir occasionally.
  • Allow the pasta to cook according to the package instructions, usually around 10-12 minutes. Make sure to stir it occasionally, ensuring it cooks evenly.
  • Once the pasta is al dente, lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  • Taste your pasta and add black pepper and salt as needed. For an extra layer of flavor, consider tossing in crushed red pepper flakes or fresh herbs.
  • Serve your dish warm, garnished with freshly chopped parsley or basil.

Notes

If you have leftovers (it's unlikely!), store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, add a splash of broth or cream.
