- 1 loaf bread brioche, challah, or thick-cut, cubed or sliced
- 2 cups fresh strawberries sliced
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: maple syrup for serving
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 baking dish.
Arrange bread evenly in the dish.
Sprinkle sliced strawberries over the bread.
In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
Pour mixture evenly over bread and press lightly to soak.
Let sit for 10–15 minutes.
