- For the Filling:
- 8 oz 225 g cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup dried cranberries chopped
- ¼ cup chopped green onions or chives
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese optional
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley or thyme finely chopped
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For Assembly:
- 4 large flour tortillas 10-inch, soft and fresh
- Optional Add-Ins:
- ¼ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- ¼ cup diced turkey
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup for a hint of sweetness
- Pinch of chili flakes or diced jalapeños for a spicy twist
Make the Filling:
In a medium bowl, mix softened cream cheese, cranberries, green onions, herbs, cheese (if using), and seasonings until smooth and well combined.
Assemble the Roll Ups:
Lay a tortilla flat and spread the filling evenly, leaving a ½-inch border. Roll tightly, wrap in plastic wrap, and repeat with remaining tortillas.
Chill:
Refrigerate the rolled tortillas for 1–2 hours to firm up and make slicing easier.
Slice and Serve:
Unwrap and cut each roll into 1-inch slices using a sharp or serrated knife. Arrange on a festive platter and garnish with extra herbs or cranberries.
-
Use room-temperature cream cheese for smooth blending.
-
Don’t overfill — a thin layer rolls and slices best.
-
Chill before cutting for neat, even pinwheels.
-
Can be made 1 day ahead and stored in the fridge until serving.
-
Keep leftovers wrapped tightly to prevent the tortillas from drying out.
