Slowly add broth, stirring constantly until thickened.
Mix in peas and any additional vegetables you desire.
Assemble the Shepherd’s Pie
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Spoon meat and vegetable filling into a baking dish, spreading evenly.
Spread mashed potatoes over the top, using a fork to create texture.
Optional: sprinkle shredded cheese on top for a golden crust.
Bake
Bake for 20–25 minutes or until mashed potatoes are lightly browned and the filling is bubbling.
Optional: broil 2–3 minutes for a crispier top.
Serve
Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Garnish with fresh parsley or rosemary.
Serve with a simple salad or crusty bread.
