Ingredients
  

  • Cookie Dough
  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • For Decorating
  • Green food coloring for the Grinch’s face
  • Red and white icing Santa hat and details
  • Optional: sprinkles candy eyes, edible glitter
  • Tips:
  • Use room-temperature butter for smooth easy-to-roll dough.
  • Natural food coloring is a great alternative to artificial dyes.

Instructions
 

  • Step 1 – Prepare the Dough
  • Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in egg and vanilla.
  • Gradually add flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until combined.
  • Step 2 – Shape the Cookies
  • Roll dough to ¼ inch thickness on a floured surface.
  • Use a Grinch-shaped cutter or freehand shapes.
  • Step 3 – Bake
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bake cookies for 8–10 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
  • Cool completely before decorating.
  • Step 4 – Decorate
  • Use green icing for the Grinch’s face.
  • Add red and white icing for the Santa hat.
  • Add candy eyes, sprinkles, or edible glitter as desired.

Notes

  • Chill dough to prevent spreading and make shaping easier.
  • Use parchment paper or silicone mats for non-stick baking.
  • Keep cookie thickness consistent for even baking.
  • Store cooled cookies in an airtight container up to 5 days.
