- 3–4 lbs beef roast chuck or top round
- 1 packet Italian seasoning or mix of oregano, basil, thyme
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 cup beef broth
- ½ cup pepperoncini peppers with juice
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Hoagie rolls or sandwich buns
- Optional Enhancers:
- Sliced provolone or mozzarella cheese
- Sautéed onions and bell peppers
- Giardiniera or pickled vegetables
Trim excess fat from roast and season with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
(Optional) Sear the beef in a hot skillet 3–4 minutes per side for deeper flavor.
Place beef in the slow cooker. Add broth, pepperoncini with juice, and Worcestershire sauce.
