  • Gather all your ingredients. Pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel.

Sauce Preparation

  • In a small bowl, mix together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and olive oil until well combined.

Seasoning

  • Sprinkle salt and pepper over the chicken thighs generously.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add a splash of oil and place chicken thighs skin-side down, searing for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  • Flip the thighs, pour the honey garlic sauce over them, and simmer.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low, cover the skillet and cook for another 15-20 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C), occasionally basting the chicken.

Serving

  • Serve the chicken over cooked rice, drizzling remaining sauce from the pan on top. Optionally, garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds.

Notes

For best results, consider marinating the chicken in the sauce for a few hours; avoid overcrowding the pan while searing to prevent steaming.
