- 8 oz mascarpone cheese softened
- 1 cup heavy cream cold
- 4 oz cream cheese optional, for stability
- Flavor Base
- ½ cup espresso or strong coffee cooled (use less to taste)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting
- Pantry Staples
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- Ladyfingers biscotti, vanilla wafers, or cookies for dipping
- Chocolate shavings optional, for garnish
Prep Ingredients
Brew espresso or strong coffee and let cool completely.
Let mascarpone sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes.
Mix the Base
In a large bowl, beat mascarpone (and cream cheese if using) until smooth.
Sweeten & Flavor
Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until creamy and fully combined.
Whip the Cream
In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream to stiff peaks.
Fold Together
Gently fold whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until light and fluffy.
Add Espresso
Drizzle espresso in gradually, folding gently until desired coffee flavor is reached.
Finish & Chill
Transfer to a serving bowl. Dust generously with cocoa powder and add chocolate shavings if desired.
Chill 15–30 minutes before serving.
