- Main Ingredients:
- 2 cans 8 oz each refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 cups cooked turkey shredded or chopped
- ½ cup cranberry sauce canned or homemade
- 1 cup shredded Swiss provolone, or mozzarella cheese
- 2 green onions chopped (optional)
- Flavor Boosters:
- ½ tsp garlic powder or 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp chopped nuts pecans or walnuts, optional
- 1 egg lightly beaten (for egg wash)
Step 1 — Preheat & Prepare:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2 — Arrange Crescent Dough:
Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles. Arrange them in a circle on the baking sheet, with pointed ends facing outward and overlapping slightly in the center (it should look like a sun).
Step 3 — Add the Filling:
Layer shredded turkey, cranberry sauce, and cheese evenly around the base of the ring. Sprinkle with green onions, garlic powder, or Dijon, if using.
Step 4 — Fold & Seal:
Fold each dough triangle over the filling, tucking the point under the ring’s center. Continue all the way around. Brush the top with egg wash for that golden finish.
Step 5 — Bake Until Golden:
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until puffed and golden brown. Cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
Optional: Garnish with fresh parsley or an extra drizzle of cranberry sauce for a festive touch.
-
Keep dough chilled until use — it’s easier to shape.
-
Don’t overfill the ring; this keeps it neat and golden.
-
For extra flavor, add brie or cream cheese under the turkey.
-
Mix cranberry sauce with orange zest for a citrusy twist.
