Ingredients

  • 4 cups seedless watermelon cubed
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • Optional
  • 1 –2 tablespoons honey or simple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon lime zest
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Cut the watermelon into small cubes and remove any seeds if necessary.
  • (Optional) Freeze the watermelon cubes for 1–2 hours for a thicker slush texture.
  • Add the watermelon cubes, ice, lime juice, and honey (if using) into a blender.
  • Blend on high speed until the mixture becomes smooth and slushy.
  • If the slush is too thick, add a splash of cold water and blend again.
  • If it is too thin, add a few more ice cubes and blend briefly.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness or lime juice if needed.
  • Pour the watermelon slush into chilled glasses.
  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves or a slice of watermelon and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Freeze watermelon cubes beforehand for an extra frosty texture.
  • Avoid adding too much ice to maintain the natural watermelon flavor.
  • Lime juice brightens the flavor and balances the sweetness.
  • Serve immediately for the best slushy texture.
