Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning or homemade blend
- 24 wonton wrappers
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican blend
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- ½ cup sour cream
- Sliced jalapeños optional
- Chopped cilantro optional
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a muffin tin with cooking spray.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in taco seasoning and a splash of water. Simmer until beef is well coated.
- Place two wonton wrappers in each muffin cup, slightly overlapping to form a base.
- Add a spoonful of beef mixture, sprinkle with cheese, then repeat with another layer of beef and cheese.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, until wrappers are golden brown and crispy.
- Let cool slightly before topping with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and optional garnishes.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- Substitute ground chicken or turkey for a lighter option.
- Add black beans, corn, or jalapeños for extra flavor.
- For a vegetarian version, use seasoned beans and veggies instead of meat.
- Store leftovers in the fridge up to 3 days; reheat in oven at 350°F to keep crispy.
- Avoid microwaving, as wrappers lose their crunch.
